Aerotek Material Handler Forklift in Georgetown, Texas

Job Title: Material Handler Forklift- Weekly Pay $21/hr

Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse including shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, safety, inventory control, and pulling parts for production. They must be familiar with general warehouse procedures and processes. They will load and unload material within the warehouse using forklifts, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment. They will communicate safety rules to incoming commercial drivers. They will be responsible for ensuring maintenance of computer system records pertaining to inventory, including stock locations, transactions for all work order pulls, inventory adjustments, and cycle count transactions.

Hard Skills

  • Safely operate heavy-duty forklifts like 5K, 15K, and 30K

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts

  • Load and unload finished goods and in-process materials

  • Move materials from receiving and production to storage areas

  • Check material movement transactions for accuracy

  • Mark materials with identifying information

  • Maintain orderly shelves and bins in the stockroom

  • Enter and maintain inventory records in the computer

  • Coordinate with production for timely delivery of components

  • Undeck piggyback chassis

  • Store wasted axle oil from new chassis

  • Check truck list report against VIN to determine ownership

  • Inspect new chassis for damage

  • Receive and process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA’s)

  • Run reports to check packing slip receipts for errors

  • File daily packing slip receipts

  • Assist in the completion of Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions

  • Support Purchasing Department in resolving vendor issues

  • Manage and replace defective parts

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Georgetown, Texas.

Work Environment

1st shift, Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm is the standard shift, but working regular overtime until 4:30pm each day and then on Saturday as well.
