GET, INC. & GET-NSA, LLC Senior Instructor & Training Manager / Nuclear Weapons in Germantown, Maryland
Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Senior Instructor / Training Manager to support the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland.
This position provides relocation support to the Germantown area.
This is a highly compensated position that offers a hybrid onsite/remote work option. Once fully qualified in their position (approximately 6 months), the Instructor/Manager will have the flexibility to complete a significant part of their work from home (within the local area).
This key individual develops and prepares Department of Energy (DOE) training materials in highly technical scientific subject areas relating to work performed by our team of Classification Analysts, Declassification Analysts, and nuclear technology Subject Matter Experts. The Instructor/Manager also conducts training on classification and sensitive information policies, guidelines, and procedures for the greater DOE and other government agency communities, including the national laboratories and national security sites.

Nuclear weapon design
Nuclear weapon material production
Radiological emergency response
Safeguards and security of nuclear weapons and special nuclear material
Protection of Restricted Data, Formerly Restricted Data, and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information
This position requires an active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance.
Compensation Range: $150,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on qualifications

The candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities and be adept at coordinating training programs, managing schedules, and overseeing documentation. Proficiency in utilizing office software for data tracking and reporting is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to streamline administrative processes to ensure the seamless execution of training initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have recent classification/declassification experience and at least two (2) years of direct training experience, including experience with modern training techniques encompassing the development of course syllabuses, student evaluations, recognition of individual student requirements, and utilization of computer-based training systems.
The ideal candidate will be a DOE-qualified Derivative Classifier (DC), Derivative Declassifier (DD), and have experience serving as an Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information Reviewing Official (UCNI RO). Absent this experience, the candidate will be provided training to attain these qualifications.
Education:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a scientific discipline (e.g., physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics). A Master’s Degree is highly desirable.
Security Clearance:
This position requires an active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance.
