Senior Manager, IT Testing

Role and Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and delivers moderate to complex projects prioritized in alignment with the client’s expectations and business needs. Projects may include multiple disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts.

  • Taking QA Ownership of programs such as platform modernization, product testing or strategic projects involving implementation of Dev/TestOps and optimization efforts

  • Developing high level system testing approach with the stakeholders

  • Managing people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state.

  • At times directs the activities of project support staff and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project.

  • Assigning and monitoring work of subject matter expert personnel, providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives.

  • Manages and coordinates program/projects priorities that requires critical thinking and complex problem solving.

  • Leads and communicates project scope, goals, and responsibilities to project team; establish clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity.

  • Developing and maintaining reporting procedures and monitors performance in project control activities; prepares and distributes reports related to project activities, general project management, and financial issues.

  • Organizing and lead risk identification and risk analysis sessions and use the results of such sessions for test estimation, planning and control.

  • Collaborating with GTS stakeholders and vendors to continually improve infrastructure, processes and systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of test services.

  • Identify / suggest tools (test automaton / test management) to improve test efficacy and efficiency.

  • Liaising with respective stakeholders for readiness and availability of test environments.

  • Accountable for project/Program/client communication

  • Managing Offshore/Onshore Interaction and Stakeholder Communication

  • Escalation Management

  • Proficient In Industry standard testing methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Hybrid, Agile, etc.)

  • Create detailed report of findings and recommendations after testing is complete and present to stakeholders.

  • Knowledge-share with team on techniques and results to continuously improve the service offering and mentor junior members of the team in techniques and best practices.

  • Manage transitions (Ongoing vis-à-vis Implementations vis-à-vis Leveraged Shared Services)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT testing

  • Should have been part of at least one end -to-end implementation cycle.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding / Exposure to Electronic Toll Collection domain / AFC / Parking domain

  • Strong knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, SQL

  • Solid Knowledge of Testing Methodologies, tools and industry best practices.

  • Strong project/delivery management skills

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $122,000 - $150,000.
