Summary/Objective: The Customer Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day account activities of the Companys customer base. Acts as a liaison between the Company and the Customer and works to build and maintain positive customer relationships. Coordinates with internal staff to help ensure customer orders are manufactured and shipped on time, within budget and within scope. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of sales orders. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of sales orders.

  • Acts as main point of contact for customer
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
  • Attend scheduled meetings with the customer as required
  • Develop detailed tracking methods to monitor progress and manage changes to ensure on time delivery
  • Works within customer portals to retrieve relevant information relating to orders and requirements
  • Pulls, reviews and uploads customer forecasts
  • Analyzes customer forecast information for accuracy to hold the customer and our organization accountable to the build schedule execution
  • Receives and reviews purchase orders for lead time, pricing, and quality requirements
  • Input sales orders
  • Creates jobs to facilitate manufacturing of products to fulfill sales orders
  • Works with Engineering, Production and Quality departments daily to disseminate customer requirements and to gather information to respond to customer inquiries
  • Provides regular and relevant customer feedback to internal teams
  • Provide financial and production data analysis to leadership and accounting
  • Ensures all reports and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reviews customer scorecard metrics including Quality and Delivery and works to help improve
  • Facilitates RMAs
  • Member of Inventory Reduction Team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Competencies/Requirements:

  • 3+ years Customer Service / Account Management experience, aerospace industry experience a plus
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Strong working knowledge and use MRP systems.
  • Ability to travel in the state to meet with existing and potential customers and suppliers
  • Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business analytical skills.
  • Manufacturing problem solving
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Minimal local travel may be required.
