Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks Internal AS9100/ISO 9100 Quality Auditor to join our Tactical Space Systems Division. This position is located in Gilbert AZ and fills a critical need on our Quality Management System (QMS) team, reporting directly to the QMS Manager.
The qualified applicant will join a diverse group of Mission Assurance and product realization professionals. We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a background in process auditing, focused on AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements, with industry experience in quality management systems and process improvement to join the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs Quality Management System (QMS) audits and process audits.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Evaluates corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
Evaluates non-conformances to alert management to potential systemic process issues.
Supports customer and external audits of our QMS standards.
Supports continuous improvement activities within the QMS.
Interfaces directly with internal manufacturing, engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure all QMS requirements are met and compliant.
Interfaces with QMS team members, and the Safety & Mission Assurance organization, located in Gilbert, Arizona, and Dulles, Virginia.
This position can be filled as a level 2 or a level 3 depending on experience.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
2+ years (level 2) or 5+years (level 3) of industry experience in quality management systems, process management, and continuous improvement
2+ years of industry experience in process auditing focused on AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements in an aerospace and defense environment.
Experience performing internal audits for AS9100 compliance.
Proficient with MS Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience with nonconformance and corrective action database systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASQ Certified Auditor.
Experience with TipQA, Windchill, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, and One Note.
Appreciation for a Continuous Improvement culture.
Experience in reporting and remediation of Corrective Action Requests.
AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor.
Strong organizational skills.
Salary Range: $62,000 - $83,000
Salary Range 2: $76,000 - $105,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
