Directs and coordinates activities, obtains optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. Also ensures that employees are operating with high team morale and follows all company safety policies. Maintains all customer partnerships and the company fleet is maintained and well cared for by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Gillette operates in 5 counties and over 100k population. It’s known for good living, good communities and a lot of energy resources and employment. This role is managing over 1mm cases of our entire line of soft drinks and our Teton alcohol and non-alcohol beverages.

Job Description

Primary Location:

Gillette, Wyoming

General Manager: Directs and coordinates activities of Sales Center to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Responsible for development, implementation and achievement of annual sales, margin and expense P&L’s, and strategic plans, including the development, execution, and organization of the pricing of promotional strategies.

Organizes a competent effective sales management team by directing the selection, development, management, and motivation of personnel.

Maximize sales of all products by establishing and implementing effective sales and marketing programs to achieve or exceed company and supplier objectives.

Ensures full line distribution of all products both on and off premise in accordance with company and supplier objectives.

Analyzes department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.

Directs the operation of sales department within established budgets through effective communication and supervision of personnel to increase profitability.

Directs the quality assurance of product through training, guidance, and monitoring of company quality standards and maintaining accurate audit records.

Ensures maximum product exposure throughout the marketing area with highly visible merchandising, POS, and displays through direction and guidance of assigned management personnel to increase market share and profitability.

Ensures maximum product exposure, image, and sales through major venues.

Responsible for effective execution of sales responsibilities to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Coordinates with applicable sales efforts with supplier field business area personnel to maximize program execution, exposure, and profitability.

Promotes organization in industry or trade associations.

Presents professional image to customer and marketplace by wearing appropriate business attire and grooming.

Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Sales & Delivery Department, Office Administration Department, and Warehouse Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BSA) or equivalent plus more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic concepts of algebra.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
