HOURS: Full-time, Monday-Friday, ExemptREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master of Nursing Practice, Leadership or related is strongly preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience overseeing clinical department or significant function. Prefer seven (7) years of progressive experience overseeing a hospital nursing department or service.DUTIES: The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a key executive leader at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital (FMDH), responsible for overseeing and advancing the nursing operations, clinical practice, and patient care standards for nursing and any other area of assigned responsibility. The CNO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, particularly with respect to nursing services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This position requires a dynamic, results-driven leader with a passion for rural healthcare and a commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by critical access hospitals.
