Assessment Coordinator, Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University

Position Summary:

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for the position of Assessment Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide faculty support for the design, implementation, and evaluation of all assessments in the veterinary curriculum. The position requires prior experience with ExamSoft online assessment platform as well as familiarity with the National Board of Medical Examiners Best Practices for item writing. Prior experience with skills-based or work-place based assessments is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Provide high quality and professional customer service to instructors and students.

  • Work one-on-one with instructors to assist in the development and input of formative and summative assessments into ExamSoft.

  • Assist instructors in labeling questions required for assessment mapping.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues reported by instructors and students.

  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum three years of work experience in education.

  • Experience supporting users in a Higher Education environment with online, academic technologies.

  • Proficiency with assessment development.

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Be extremely customer-service oriented.

  • Be able to work independently to solve problems with minimal supervision.

  • Be able to work with both technical and non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or a technology related field.

  • Experience providing training, support, and instruction for use of software applications and computer skills.

  • Experience with programmatic assessment in medical environments.

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Glassboro, New Jersey west campus, 22 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine plans to admit its first class of DVM students in 2025, pending accreditation approval. Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a small animal teaching hospital, and a research facility.
