We are currently seeking a skilled and experiencedEstimatorto join our team in our Glassboro, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating the cost and materials required for various ceiling and interior installation projects. The Estimator will work closely with our sales team to prepare accurate and competitive bids for potential projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reading blueprints, estimating the amount of labor and materials required to complete projects.

  • Prepare cost analysis to quote competitive pricing for Customer Proposals/Bids.

  • Identifying profitable bid opportunities.

  • Completing project take-offs.

  • Producing bid packages in a timely manner that creates winning opportunity.

  • Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.

  • Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software.

Requirements

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Attentiveness in monitoring active jobs to produce contract change orders, as necessary.

  • Knowledge of the Submittal process & a desire to further product education utilizing this process

  • Knowledge and experience interior commercial construction material

  • Experience reading scaled drawings and blueprints.

  • Experience analyzing bid documents and design drawings.

  • Experience with scope determination and breaking down scope sheets.

  • Proficient in managing many projects, multi-tasking, time management, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal structure while exercising great judgment.

  • High level of knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.

Work/Career Experience:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial interior Estimating .
