Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the service industry based in Glen Allen, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for outbound collections, payment postings, and account reconciliation tasks. This role also requires the use of spreadsheet and accounting software. This opportunity provides a long-term contract employment scenario.

Responsibilities

• Managing outbound collections and ensuring they are well-coordinated.

• Regularly reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Overseeing the posting of customer payments to the appropriate accounts.

• Using spreadsheet and accounting software to maintain and update customer records.

• Monitoring the status of customer accounts and taking the necessary actions where needed.

• Addressing customer inquiries and providing them with appropriate solutions.

• Ensuring commercial and cash collections are correctly processed.

• Maintaining a high degree of accuracy in credit record keeping.

• Ensuring customer credit applications are processed effectively and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Credit - Collections operations is essential

• Experience in Commercial Collections is a must-have

• Familiarity with Cash Collections procedures is required

• Ability to reconcile accounts accurately and efficiently

• Advanced skills in using Excel for data management and reporting

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks
