ABOUT THE ROLE

Honeywell's Electronic Solutions (ES) is a worldwide leader in the development of flight controls, displays, guidance and navigation systems and inertial instruments. The Glendale, AZ ES facility has a 40-year heritage of designing, developing, and manufacturing extremely high reliability products for manned and unmanned space applications. ES is currently seeking an experienced engineering analyst.

The Advanced Mech Design Engineer will develop and use her/his analysis skills to complete complex analyses and to develop new analysis techniques to solve issues as they arise. In addition, will provide detailed documentation and reports as well as presentations for customer design reviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Thermal Analysis

  • Structural Analysis

  • Modeling

  • Customer presentations and communications

  • Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

  • Travel: up to 10% US

  • Reports to: Sr Systems Eng Manager

    U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

MUST HAVE

  • 5+years of practice mechanical design engineering experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Shown experience with design tools for field (SINDA, MSC/NASTRAN, NX Thermal/Flow, NX Space Systems Thermal, MATLAB, Ansys Thermal Desktop)

  • Proficient in MS Office Tools

  • Motivated to drive improvements in a meaningful environment

  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience

  • Team working ability

  • Individuals who are ambitious and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or required to by events

  • Ability to easily and effectively juggle many priorities and challenging demands

  • Good interpersonal skills verbal and written

  • Willingness to learn new technologies

  • Creative problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills
