ASM Global Manager - Partnership Sales & Service in Glendale, Arizona

Summary

The Manager, Partnership Sales & Service will work closely with Vice President, Partnership Sales to influence the sales growth and client service of Desert Diamond Arena and Westgate Entertainment District partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling complex sponsorship assets that include entitlement partnerships, on-site signage, digital media, experiential space and hospitality.

  • Identify marketing executives within targeted accounts who make event marketing and media/sponsorship decisions.

  • Plan and execute partnership pitch presentations and proposals to new and existing clients.

  • Prepare bi-weekly reports on sales revenue pipeline and projections.

  • Utilize the Company’s preferred CRM platform to determine best contacts, strategies, and solutions for prospective sponsors

  • Conduct on-going market analysis and help devise strategies for generating new business.

  • Take ownership of all processes leading up to, finalizing and activating partnerships.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Premium Seating and Event Operations to ensure successful execution of deal points.

  • Host and Entertain Prospective Clients at specific Desert Diamond Arena events.

  • Manage and track all partnership assets.

  • Create and deliver marketing contracts and agreements.

  • Assist VP, Partnership Sales with all fulfillment needs.

  • Assist VP, Partnership Sales with invoicing, and other budgetary needs.

  • On occasion, work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience negotiating incremental revenue opportunities for corporate partners.

  • Excellent people skills with an ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with clients, guests, and co-workers within the organization.

  • Highly organized with good coordinating and project management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and ability to learn required business systems.

  • Ability to write proposals and business correspondence.

  • Ability to travel via air and auto required.

  • Must be able to maintain a productive, team-oriented relationship with staff, clients and client agencies.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.

  • Minimum of five (5) years in the field of venue, property or rights holder sponsorship sales; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the principles, practices, and terminology of sponsorship sales.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and oral.

  • Proven ability to drive a sale from presenting to closing.

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in selling and servicing sponsor partners.

  • Operate a personal computer using Windows 2000, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related standard office equipment.

  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders including clients, agencies and employees.

  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.

  • Demonstrated excellence in providing superior customer service both internal and external.

  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
