Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented Imagineers create -from concept initiation through installation - all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.

We seek a collaborative and strategic Senior Manager, Partnership Planning for the Walt Disney Imagineering Planning and Partnerships team as part of the Global Creative Strategy Studio. This individual will manage WDI Alliance Development opportunities working closely with Corporate Alliances. With direction and oversight from the Menu and Franchise Planning Executive, you will help deliver the integration of Alliance partnerships for WDI projects working closely with Corporate Alliance teams to prioritize and implement new partner opportunities for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts globally. The Senior Manager will serve as a critical liaison between WDI teams and Corporate Alliances to support our long-term planning strategies for each Global destination. This successful integration supports WDI partner opportunities across our world-class product in a dynamic and diverse marketplace, to help drive Capital led projects.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Imagineers globally in all subject areas to ideate, create, design & deliver alliance-funded projects in the parks globally.

  • Partner with the Menu Planning team to review global capital projects to identify Walt Disney Parks & Resorts partner opportunities.

  • Develop a process for supervising WDI & Alliance projects to ensure timely management of partner deals and WDPR global opportunities.

  • Work with all relevant partners to ensure both WDI creative integrity and partner brand goals are achieved with future opportunities.

  • Drive relationship management and creative work sessions with WDI creative and executive leaders in collaboration with Corporate Alliances for all new and large capital projects globally.

  • Partner with Corporate Alliance (Business Development, Account Management & Operating Participant) teams for all necessary external partner meetings to represent Walt Disney Imagineering & Walt Disney Parks and Resorts globally.

  • Manage and lead Alliance update meetings and communication with WDI leadership regularly (monthly & quarterly).

  • Eloquently engage and communicate at the highest levels of The Walt Disney Company to both internal and external partners.

  • Maintain strong cross-segment relationships (WDI, Park Lines of Business, Legal, Corporate Brand, Disney Consumer Products, Marketing, Yellow Shoes, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain all presentation materials for all partner meetings.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in or supporting a large creative organization

  • Largely self-directed and highly collaborative

  • Outstanding appreciation and understanding of the Disney Brand & Disney Parks Storytelling

  • Able to present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable intelligence for design teams and senior leaders

  • Ability to operate and communicate in both highly creative & highly strategic environments

  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills (written, verbal, and ability to direct graphic needs)

  • Presentation development using Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

  • Experience leading and developing others

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, or related field

Additional Information

This position can be located in Glendale, CA, or Lake Buena Vista, FL.

Some travel may be required.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $135,000 to $181,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
