Glens Falls Hospital Supply Chain Coordinator in Glens Falls, New York

The Impact You Can Make Under the direction of the Director, Supply Chain and/or his/her authorized designees, the supply technician shall be responsible for multiple materials management and perioperative supply chain activities. Team Impact /For materials management/: Technician performs all supply chain distribution tasks relating to the requisitioning, ordering, inventorying, stocking, reconciling, receiving, and delivery of supplies in the most efficient manner while maintaining high levels of customer service. /For perioperative services/: Technician supports the needs of assigned Operating Rooms/procedural areas in the hospital by ensuring that inventory is obtained in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains a high standard of accuracy when ordering supplies and interacts frequently with the hospital clinical staff to ensure service levels are being met. Education/Accredited Programs * High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. * Two years of specific job-related experience in a medical, hospital or clinic setting preferred * Two years’ experience with surgical/medical supplies, various medical equipment, medical terminology and in the surgical environment are preferred Skills/Abilities * Must be self-directed with strong organizational and computer skills. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include preparation of reports, charts, and graphs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). * Must have good numerical/mathematical skills * Must understand the supply and distribution process * Must have good communication skills both verbal and written. * Ability to work either independently or in a team environment. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritize tasks/duties. * Must possess ability to successfully interact with patients, families, staff, management, suppliers, physicians and public. * Lifting 1-50 lbs.
