The HR Generalist reports to the Corporate HR Manager and is responsible for providing HR support to the corporate office employees in the following areas: recruitment and selection, on-boarding, employee engagement, talent analytics and employee data management, and all facets of talent management and development.

This role represents an opportunity for a developing HR professional looking to build their experience as a Generalist. The ideal candidate will have a healthy sense of curiosity and a desire to learn and grow.

The role will be located in our Glenview, Illinois office and work alongside an experienced HR generalist and functional team. The role supports our local based corporate employees as well as our international corporate employees located in various international locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the corporate intern program and serve as the HR lead working closely with the corporate hiring managers to coordinate the intern recruitment process from selection to on-boarding for the summer and winter internship program

  • Support functional business partners with talent reviews, performance management and employee relation issues

  • Responsible for preparation of our annual Affirmative Action Plan; ensure applicant data is tracked through our automated systems.

  • Manage and participate with HR team in the planning of the Corporate Employee Engagement programs

  • Assist corporate HR team with administration of job descriptions, compensation, performance management processes and other data management such as maintaining and updating various documents throughout the year

  • Assist employees by handling various requests for information about policies/procedures, benefit and compensation questions.

  • Generates various reports for corporate HR team and business partners

  • Assist corporate HR team with special projects and general HR duties, tasks and work as may be assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field

  • PHR/GPHR Certification preferred or interest to be certified with requisite experience

  • 1-3 years’ HR generalist experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to be onsite 5 days/week at the Glenview, IL corporate campus with flexible work hours.

  • Baseline experience with federal and state regulatory requirements for Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Administration, Employee Relations and HR documentation

  • Project management skills

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams)

  • Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate

  • Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of groups such as management, peers, and outside contacts

  • Self-motivated and highly professional demeanor

  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to remain objective and see solutions

  • Proficiency with human resources information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a strong plus
