Applied Materials’ Ion Implantation Business Unit is searching for an intern to join our team in Summer 2025! Our group works on developing plasma processing tools in the area of ion implantation, dry etch, deposition and material modification. The position will entail the following:

  • Performnumerical investigations of elements of semiconductor processing tools using commercial and in-house software.

  • Investigate applicability of new high performance computationaltoolsfor plasma processing modeling.

  • Develop data processing techniques.

  • Analyze obtained results, draw scientific conclusions, and present at internal meetings.

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Master's or Doctorate program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field

  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

  • Experience in plasmamodeling and numerical techniques preferred.

  • Quick learner

Compensation

$37 - $47 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
