WHAT YOU'LL DO: Welcome members into the branch and provide professional expertise in the service and sales of deposit products, loan products, and convenient services through effective rapport building skills, proficient knowledge, and the promotion of the credit union's brand of savings, transparency, and financial education. Responsible for meeting established Credit Union and Branch goals through active participation in sales programs. Originate, underwrite and close consumer and home equity loans following outlined TruStone Financial policies and procedures and adhering to regulations governing the financial services industry. Accurately and efficiently interpret and process a wide variety of financial inquiries, account openings, service requests, and transactions. Secure credit union assets, balance transactions, and complete necessary reports. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:45am - 6:15pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am - 1:15pm at our Boone Avenue/Golden Valley Branch; non-exempt. In addition: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or four years of equivalent work experience. Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving and interacting with customers. Previous experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, preferred. Previous experience underwriting loans, preferred. Expert knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations, preferred. Highly-developed interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people. Ability to identify member opportunities for financial improvement, teach financial concepts, communicate recommendations, and provide support. Ability to analyze and solve situations independently. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Good decision-making skills and judgement. Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records. A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor. Ability to confidently approach prospective members. Required to be compliant with the terms and conditions outlined in TruStone Financial's SAFE Act Policy, which includes the submission of fingerprints, the successful completion of an FBI background check and maintaining current and compliant registration in Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks. Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.
