JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our products and processes. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for tracking key quality metrics, such as First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap rates, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Additionally, this role involves working collaboratively with various departments to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions, as well as coordinating with Supplier Quality Engineers to address and resolve supplier-related quality concerns.JOB DUTIES:Track Quality Metrics:Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield (FPY) data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Track and report scrap rates, identifying high-scrap processes and implementing reduction strategies.Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including the disposition of non-conforming materials and ensuring appropriate documentation and corrective actions.Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:Work with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of product and process non-conformances.Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.Utilize problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone diagrams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Collaboration and Communication:Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the production process.Facilitate and participate in quality-related meetings and activities, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.Supplier Quality Management:Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers to address supplier-related quality issues.Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Support supplier development and improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of supplied materials and components.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation in accordance with company policies and industry standards.Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.YOU MUST HAVE:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.3 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management software.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001WE VALUE:Experience with root cause analysis tools and techniques.Six Sigma certification.Familiarity with supplier quality management and audit processes.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:A comprehensive benefits package including life and health insurance, life assistance program, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans, vacation & holidays.Technology and leadership mentoring to ensure you are setup for successOpportunity to work for a growing company with many opportunities for career advancementWork in a Hybrid setting (3 days in office, 2 days remote)Enjoy work-life balance with generous vacation time that can be scheduled with manager approval based on business priorities and personal needs, without pre-set maximums.
