Lockheed Martin Business Operations Manager / Lvl 5 / Goleta, CA in Goleta, California

Description: Responsible for hiring and reviewing performance of the group. Manages the SBF Finance team, coordinating work assignments, providing day to day guidance, training and development for financial analysts. Creates development plans and works with the analysts to grow talent and ensure knowledge transfer and continuity within the group. Develops and refines standard processes to create consistency across various programs and analyst. Support the site as focal point for charging and financial issues. Performs complex financial analyses for manufacturing cost pools, internal MFC initiatives, SBF outside contracts and Repair and Depot activities. Generates estimates at completion and monitors contract performance to budget and schedule. Develops program baseline budgets and calculates earned value performance, analyzes variances and works with cross functional teams to create risk mitigation and recovery plans. Reviews Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions and validates proper cost allocations. Calculates weekly performance metrics and manages production pools. Calculates and updates sub assembly values for focal plane arrays and provides monthly status reports for all SBF Financial Exposure Authorizations. Fast paced environment supporting multiple programs with competing deadlines. Work proactively with multifunctional teams to reduce product cost and improve contract performance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage employees, provide clear direction and guidance. Patient and effective trainer and mentor. Strong analytical and computer skills (excel, PowerPoint, word & access). Experience working various financial functions (estimating, supporting proposal fact finding& negotiations, cost control for cost plus and fixed price contracts, contract close outs and supporting government audits). Ability to work multiple tasks concurrently. Candidate must be able to work independently (with minimal direction and oversight) and in a team environment. Self starter/motivated individual that works effectively with all levels of site personnel.

Desired Skills:

Masters degree desired. Familiarity with LM/MFC systems, practices and procedures and program personnel. Basic knowledge of IR industry and experience with cost control of development and production efforts. Advanced computer skills with excel and access. Previous experience working for a defense contractor in a similar position. Familiar with FAR/DFAR regulations. Extensive working knowledge of earned value management techniques and concepts. Top Secret/ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $107,400 - $205,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $123,500 - $232,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
