Robert Half is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work for their client in Goleta that is in the medical industry. The individual will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of our value delivery pipeline and work closely with the software development team. The role demands a high level of proficiency in software development and Linux system administration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of our value delivery pipeline based on lean and agile principles.

• Work closely with the software development team to develop and support a reliable and repeatable build system.

• Implement automated quality gates in the deployment pipeline to ensure optimal performance.

• Exhibit mastery in software development and Linux system administration, including on-prem and cloud-based solutions.

• Address and mitigate security concerns related to both on-prem and cloud-based solutions.

• Provide strategic direction and planning for tool adoption, implementation, instrumentation, and maintenance.

• Drive continuous improvement in software development by implementing a data-driven approach.

• Translate technical requirements and strategies to both development teams and executive leadership.

• Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to monitor the effectiveness of software development practices.

• Select and integrate appropriate components for optimal software deployment.
