Quality Inspector

Job Description

Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to reactor plant operations. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress, including both receiving and in-process inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and tests on mechanical, electrical, and structural components and assemblies.

  • Conduct close tolerance dimensional checks and general surveillance of the work in progress.

  • Carry out receiving and in-process inspections.

  • Make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.

  • Determine the measuring equipment to be used for inspections.

  • Temporarily halt work that would affect the reactor plant if necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with AS9100 and AS9200 standards.

  • Proficiency in incoming and receiving inspection processes.

  • Skilled in using calipers and other measuring tools.

  • Strong quality control documentation skills.

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Mechanical and quality inspection expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work under general supervision.

  • Decision-making abilities regarding inspection outcomes and measuring equipment.

  • Authority to halt work to prevent issues affecting reactor plants.

This position is based in a manufacturing setting, where you will be conducting inspections and tests on various components and assemblies. The work environment adheres to standardized company and industry policies, practices, and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00
