Purpose

Are you interested in ensuring communities have access to safe and reliable drinking water? We're looking for a Water Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in operating and maintaining our water production facilities, ensuring every drop of water meets our high standards. * ADEQ Grade 1 Operator License in Water Treatment, or ability to obtain, required

Accountabilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain water production equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and chemical feed systems

  • Conduct regular water quality tests, analyze results, and make necessary adjustments to treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water production equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of water production activities, including operational data, maintenance logs, and water quality test results

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal water quality standards

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, equipment malfunctions, and water quality issues to minimize service interruptions and ensure public safety

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to water production and quality

  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in plumbing, well operation, distribution, collection, water, and/or wastewater treatment

  • ADEQ Grade 1 Operator License in Water Treatment, or ability to obtain, required

  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining water production equipment and systems; strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Valid driver's license, and CDL may be required

  • Ability to read maps, manuals, blueprints, and perform general math calculations

  • Strong written communication skills for documenting daily records and reports

  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
