Great Falls Construction is looking for a Safety and Wellness Professional to join our team.
The Safety and Wellness Professional develops, coordinates, implements, and oversees all of the company health and safety policies and procedures, accident prevention, and training to promote and ensure effective safety operations.
The Professional works closely with managers and supervisors to provide advice, assistance and support to achieve company and project safety responsibilities. The Safety and Wellness Professional must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards and develop opportunities for improving conditions and safety programs.
This position is primarily office based with regular site visits to different work areas to conduct inspections and provide jobsite safety support.

What you will be doing:
- Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated clearly to all employees, consistently following and comply with all applicable
- Develop and manage employee wellness initiatives focused on physical health, mental wellbeing, stress management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Conduct regular workplace and jobsite safety inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop preventative measures to mitigate safety concerns.
- Design and deliver safety and wellness training programs to employees at all levels, covering topics including but not limited to emergency procedures, construction hazards, and proper tools and equipment usage.
- Investigate workplace accidents and near misses to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and present future occurrences.
- Advise managers on safety concerns, provide guidance on implementing safety protocols, and support them in promoting a positive safety culture.
- Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Review all daily, weekly, and monthly project safety documentation to ensure all project safety requirements are complete and accurate.
- Track safety and wellness data, generate reports on incidents and trends, and present findings to management to inform decision making.
- Attending project hand off meetings as necessary to communicate and support safety expectations and project safety specific requirements.
- Completes annual OSHA recordkeeping and reporting and other administrative requirements related to safety operations and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third party companies that support wellness initiatives.
- Overseeing and organizing safety company and committee meetings by preparing agendas, minutes, attending meetings, providing advice as required and ensuring follow-up action is taken.
- Involved with industry safety associations and attends industry safety meetings and events.
- May require occasional work outside of regular hours to attend industry and company meetings, respond to emergencies, or coordinate safety initiatives.
- Performs other related safety and wellness duties as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
- Has a bias toward action and an impatience towards those that lack focus and/or the ability to get results.
- Thoroug understanding of occupational health and safety principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate safety information to employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations to improve safety performance.
- Ability to influence and motivate employees to prioritize safety and actively participate in wellness initiatives.
- Experience in designing and delivering engaging safety training programs.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to conduct safety inspections
- Knowledge and experience with construction software and technology preferred including Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
