How will you make an impact?

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to oversee the development, implementation, and management of our advanced Divisional Supplier Quality Program. As someone experienced in supplier quality management, you will be instrumental in ensuring excellent supplier performance, reducing costs, and utilizing data analysis for effective problem-solving. Your ability to consider different viewpoints and comprehend our partners' requirements will be essential for success.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a global supplier quality strategy aligned with our business objectives and quality standards.

  • Drive the incorporation of innovative technology into supplier management practices to enhance efficiency and provide instant insight into supplier performance.

  • Implement a robust workflow management system for seamless daily operations.

  • Use predictive analytics to anticipate and proactively handle potential supplier performance issues.

  • Foster strong supplier relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

  • Collaborate with global and local functions to prioritize and resolve supplier-related quality issues.

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of Supplier Quality Engineers.

  • Implement a sophisticated risk management approach using AI and machine learning to mitigate potential supply chain risks.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards through a comprehensive compliance management system.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Supplier Quality organization.

  • Develop clear and measurable performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the supplier quality program.

  • Promote supplier diversity and sustainability in the evaluation and selection process.

  • Champion problem-solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate non-conformances.

  • Actively participate in strategic supplier development based on identified risks.

  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and senior management.

  • Build deep partnerships with internal customers and earn their trust.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to generate and implement quality improvements.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. Engineering/Operations Management, Quality, Biological Sciences preferred

  • Quality lead auditor training certificate preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • People management experience.

  • Supplier performance management.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language required.

  • Understanding of six sigma tools such as 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, Value Stream Map and Pareto Analysis preferred.

  • Experience in business and quality management systems (i.e. SAP, TrackWise, etc.).

  • Strong presentations skills preferred.

Working Contacts:

  • High level of contact with all local and global departments.

  • Frequent interaction with suppliers.

  • Collaborate with other departments on matters relating to supplier quality issues. This involves working with people at all levels within the organization as well as external customers and regulatory bodies.

Working Conditions / Travel Requirements:

  • Visits to factories wearing PPE, including cleanroom PPE

  • Frequent travel required (domestic/international)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93,800.00–$140,675.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
