Manufacturing Technician I-Grand Island, NY

Location/Division Specific Information:

Grand Island, NY-Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD). Manufacturing facility producing liquid and powder media and developing cell culture cell therapies.

Position/Location Specific Information:

• Manufacturing Technician I, Liquid Finishing, 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:00pm

• This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group.

• Competitive Pay: $18.50/hr; + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.

How Will You MakeanImpact?:In this role you will produce dry powder and liquid media consisting of various raw materials used in life science applications. The Manufacturing Technician I will perform various operations using specialized equipment ranging from manual to automated process steps. This role requires a high level of attentiontodetail with safety, quality, and other production standards in mind to contribute to the site’s overall success.

A Day in the Life:

• Use various equipment for processing.

• Interpret established protocols and procedures to maintain a safeworkingenvironment and ensure product quality and consistency.

• Collaborate and work with diverseteams to support manufacturing.

• Monitor critical process parameters for equipment and perform routine checks to ensure process integrity and identify any deviations.

Education: High school diploma orequivalent required.

Experience:

• Required: No previousworkexperience required

• Preferred: Previousworkexperience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field.

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Follow multi-step instructions and documentaccurately for safety and quality.

• Familiarity with manufacturing or detailed processes and general understanding of process improvements.

• Ability to train on different processes and procedures in a timely manner to accomplish department’s tasks.

• Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Capable of lifting, moving up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, squatting, bending, and reaching during tasks.Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (if necessary), safety glasses, and gloves. Additional PPE such as bump cap, face shield, and respirator may also be necessary. What We Offer Compensation

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.05–$21.07.
