Sr Manager, Manufacturing Planning

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an experienced and skilled Sr Manager to join our Manufacturing team in Grand Island. Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of supply chain professionals for North American product lines, ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Create production and allocation schedules to align inventory objectives and customer demands, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

  • React to unanticipated changes in the production plan by providing timely information, impact assessment, and implementing revised plans.

  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure raw material delivery plans align with production schedules and product specifications.

  • Foster transparency by effectively communicating production and allocation plans, revisions, and results.

  • Collaborate with sales teams and the North America Supply Chain Manager to strategize finished goods allocations for major deals and reserves.

  • Use systems (E1 MRP, SFDC, etc.) to efficiently run supply pipelines, identifying gaps and taking proactive measures to meet demand plans.

  • Leverage supply chain and business knowledge to identify and implement solutions to delivery and inventory issues.

  • Collaborate with key parties to coordinate and progress Engineering Change Requests and Orders (ECRs and ECOs) for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and product information changes.

  • Optimize customer satisfaction and financial performance by coordinating North America SKU in-stock levels and achieving targets for backorder, LIFR, and inventory.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in production or supply chain planning, with a track record of handling sophisticated manufacturing processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.

  • Ability to work autonomously and lead projects of diverse scope and complexity, demonstrating exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Capacity to make well-informed decisions in uncertain situations, using analytical thinking and logical reasoning.

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate different perspectives and reach consensus.

  • Ability to influence without authority, leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to deliver outstanding results.

  • Strong relationship building, project management, and planning/prioritization skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $118,100.00–$165,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
