Lockheed Martin Proposal Quality Engineer (QE) Staff - Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description:

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) Staff for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to manage the implementation and execution of program quality requirements when creating proposals / Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and supporting development programs.

This hybrid role will support both Proposals / BOE and all aspects of Quality development programs, including proficiency in proposals, Request for Proposal (RFP), Basis of Estimate (BOE), contract review, program start-up, production, and support.

This role will require an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions in hardware, software, systems, suppliers / sub-contractors, and customers.

What You Will Be Doing

Duties include but are not limited to:

•Collaborate and partners with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production and customers.

•Support all programs proposals for the Precision Fires LOB including Guided, Missile, Launcher and Advanced Programs.

•Assist in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments.

•Participate in independent reviews including Readiness Acceptance Check (RAC), customer proposal / BOE reviews, customer negotiations, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Programs Reviews and Executive Leadership Proposals Reviews.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret

Understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Proposals and Quality Engineering

Proficient in writing Proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE)

Strong knowledge of creating accurate, complete, correct, current, and competitive Proposals / Basis of Estimate (BOE) and meeting proposal deadlines

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with other functions such as PM, Engineering, GSC, Prod Ops, Manufacturing, and customers

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a dynamic environment, ability to train employees, and the ability to multi-task

Practical communication skills, including written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing, and collaboration

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts, and other engineering requirements

Demonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex

An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience in the disposition of non-conforming products

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

Ability to travel (25%)

Desired Skills:

STEM degree at Bachelors level or above preferred

Experience with customer audits and negotiations

Experience in writing technical and cost volumes

Understanding of TINA Compliance and TINA SWEEP

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001), AS9145

Desire and ability to implement creative problem-solving techniques

Demonstrate understanding of audit techniques and systems for their efficiencies

Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements

Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience, as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional, and procedures for inspection

An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and Procure-to-pay (P2P) business systems

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
