Pollo Regio Warehouse Manager in Grand Prairie, Texas

Position Summary

Responsible for the Warehouse team’s overall direction, high-performance and engagement in safety and standard operating procedures of the department to meet or exceed results in product quality, production deadlines and safety. Will hire, train, and coach. Develops and implements standard operating procedures and company guidelines for efficient workflows.

Essential Functions

  1. Overall Department Direction:
  • Sets clear goals for the department and maintains respectful accountability.
  1. Team Management:
  • Manages and coaches' team(s) in a specific role to ensure work is performed to expectations for safety, quality and production deadlines. May require technical expertise such as maintaining certifications or licenses in order to properly train team members in proper handling (forklift, driver, pallet jack, nail gun skills). Gives feedback about performance to job expectations and manages performance including completing performance reviews, hiring new team members and set salaries. Makes independent decisions about work priorities and procedures.
  1. Manages time and attendance
  • Creating and overseeing systems and team member schedules for start/stop, meal and rest periods and time-off.
  1. Keep update inventory and stock
  • Coordinate an efficient, safe, and effective receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of our warehoused goods.

  • Control, maintain supervise inventory.

  • Supervise team to conduct physical counts of products to maintain adequate inventory levels.

  • Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.

  • Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversee the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.

  1. Monitor the unloading of all materials into the distribution department
  • Ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensure receiving reports accurately report material received.

  • Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.

  • Oversee the movement of material from distribution to the restaurant location in an efficient, effective and safe manner..

Role models safe team member practices and efficient department standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

Undertakes additional responsibilities as delegated.

Supervision, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Strong relationship building skills cross department and a strong working relationship with the field district management team as well as the restaurant operators.

Requirements

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse/ distribution leadership role

  • Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors

  • Netsuite (Oracle) and RF-Smart knowledge/expertise is need to be successful in this role

  • Bachelors’ degree or related/equivalent experience in the field preferred
