Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our non-profit team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to our team and clients, focusing on securing housing for the homeless population in Grand Rapids. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in securing housing for the homeless population in Grand Rapids

• Work with grants to secure funds for housing assistance

• Assist clients in preparing and completing necessary documentation for housing eligibility

• Calculate income and rent to ensure compliance with regulations

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions

• Handle inbound calls in a courteous manner, answering queries and providing assistance as needed

• Manage and update client records in the database

• Perform basic office functions and clerical duties as required

• Utilize MS Excel and other software for data entry and record keeping

• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance in all operations. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role within the non-profit sector

• Proficient in answering inbound calls and handling client relations in a courteous manner

• Experience in performing basic office skills and clerical duties

• Ability to maintain department files and records

• Skilled in the use of computer files and keyboard

• Capable of confirming appointments and completing paperwork in a timely manner

• Knowledgeable in compliance functions and regulatory compliance

• Proficient in database administration and management

• Experience in providing financial counseling

• Possess a friendly and outgoing personality

• Ability to prepare detailed documentation and ensure its appropriateness

• Proficient in MS Excel and data entry

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to maintain records and ensure organizational effectiveness

• Experience in managing office functions
