The Associate Provost of Student Affairs provides College-level leadership for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Student Affairs initiatives. Working closely with the Provost and the President, and in collaboration with leaders in Academic and Student Affairs, the Associate Provost of Student Affairs provides leadership and oversight of the following: Advising and Student Support, Athletics, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, K-12 Programs (High School Enrollment and Early/Middle College), Outreach (Regional Sites, English as a Second Language/Adult Basic Education, and TRIO-Education Opportunity Center), Student Life and Conduct, and the Woodrick Center for Inclusion and Multicultural Affairs. The Associate Provost leads the Strategic Enrollment Management Steering Committee and related programming and initiatives and will serve on the Academic Governing Council Executive Team at the request of the Provost. In accordance with College governance structures, the Associate Provost of Student Affairs develops policies and processes for Student Affairs-related programs and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support for all departments within Student Affairs. • Provide leadership for the development of programs, services, strategies, and activities that encourage and foster innovation in the support of student access, success, retention, and completion, including transfer. • In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders from across the College, provide leadership for the integration of student affairs with academics and other areas, as needed. • Develop and implement assessment plans for delivery of services to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. • In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, ensure that the values of equity and inclusion are present in all student affairs efforts to best support student enrollment, success, retention, and completion, including transfer. • In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, investigate and recommend effective methods of service to better support student success and retention. • As appropriate and in collaboration with College stakeholders, develop relationships and facilitate partnerships with K-12, higher education, and community organizations, as well as businesses to the benefit of GRCC students and our region. • As appropriate, develop, lead, and coordinate projects related to student affairs. • Suggest, develop, and support strong connections between the GRCC Foundation and finance and administration and student affairs. • Suggest, develop, and support strong connections between instructional support and institutional planning and student affairs. • In collaboration with the Associate Provost of Instructional Support and Institutional Planning, maintain connections to the College's strategic plan process, implementation, and evaluation to support student affairs-related initiatives. • Establish and maintain annual department and team planning and reporting processes, as integrated into the college's structures, including the strategic planning and evaluation systems. • Communicate the work of Student Affairs to the College and the College to Student Affairs; updates stakeholder groups as needed. • Serve on the President's Cabinet, Strategic Leadership Team, Academic
