The Project Manager II instills trust through organizing and directing highly complex activities for the design, development, and construction of commercial projects. Ensures the projects are within established goals for safety, quality, timelines, budget, and profitability, and ensures that the client experience is according to the Wolverine Way and aligned with our core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads technical management of large-scale commercial construction projects from design to closeout.
  • Manages and mentors on complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversees intricate construction processes from estimation to closeout.
  • Creates detailed schedules, addresses challenges, and optimizes on-site efficiency.
  • Directs project meetings and processes from start to finish.
  • Excels in advanced project management, including liens, building codes, and estimating.
  • Ensures contract terms are met, including permits and insurance.
  • Prequalifies trade partners and suppliers before awarding contracts.
  • Oversees project invoices and monitors financial project health.
  • Collaborates with senior staff to build a prospect base for new leads.
  • Listens actively to understand client goals.
  • Presents proposals, updates, and schedules to clients.
  • Guides the team towards favorable contract terms for clients.
  • Excels in preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Prioritizes safety throughout project stages.
  • Shares company insights and client feedback with the team.
  • Coordinates with project teams to manage client expectations and foster repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Project Management in the built environment. 
  • Must have experience working on varied and intermediate projects. 
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
