POSITION SUMMARY:

General cleaning and upkeep of common spaces, restrooms, service support areas, offices, parking garage, exterior, exhibit halls, meeting rooms, and other areas within the facility.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning public areas including restrooms, elevators, escalators, glass railings and other general cleaning tasks as needed

• General cleaning of employee areas and service support areas

• Vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in office areas

• Parking garage maintenance, including trash removal and cleaning of trash cans

• Exterior property maintenance, including trash removal, sweeping, snow removal, power washing, and leaf blowing as needed

• Floor maintenance including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing and other floor tasks as needed

• Completing custodial checklists as necessary

• Ensuring proper use and care of cleaning equipment and machines

• Working with and directing work efforts of part time/temporary personnel

• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and REQUIREMENTS:

• THIS POSITION REQUIRES WORKING WEEKEND DAYS AS SCHEDULED. Due to the varied nature of events, availability on weekends is required

• Must be able to work independently as well as direct work efforts of others

• Ability to read and follow directions is a must

• Ability to bend, twist and lift 25 lbs regularly is required

• Must be able to follow proper work procedures and safety requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform simple repairs is helpful
