Acosta Group Director, Convenience Store in Lansing, Michigan

DESCRIPTION

The Director, Convenience is critical to the current and future growth and profitability of the Company. The Director Sales is recognized by both the Management Committee and his/her peers asa key contributor to the organization. He/she exhibits high proficiency in performance of responsibilities. The designation of Director requires Management Committee approval.

TheDirector is located in larger markets and has direct responsibility for the management of and development of a department of Business Managers and Account Managers aligned by retail categories or departments in Connivence. The Director is also directly responsible to the General Manager for all sales functions with his/her department. In some instances, a Director may have responsibility for a particular customer team

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Empowering our clients and customers with the necessary tools to deliver innovative solutions and achieve their goals in merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelf positioning, ultimately maximizing their market share.

  • Deliver Corporate revenue goals within the budgeted timeframe and budget.

  • Drive principals' volume, share, and sales goals while minimizing costs.

  • Develop and sell Customer Business Plans, communicating priorities to various teams.

  • Maintain superior business relationships with customers and personally engage keydecision-makers.

  • Manage trade-marketing funds effectively and minimize sales-related deductions.

  • Assist and coach Business Managers in managing accounts.

  • Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with assigned principals and sell total capabilities.

  • Utilize knowledge and resources to effectively sell programs and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of sales experience, 3+ years in sales leadership.

  • Proven track record in sales with a food broker or major national company and C-Store experience.

  • Experience demonstrating sales skills and successful management of others.

  • Proficiency in various software packages used to support sales.

  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information for effective presentations.
