Renaissance of Hope, Inc. (ROH), the nonprofit development arm of Straight Gate International Church (SGIC), is on a mission to transform lives and communities. Our goal is to be a beacon of true ministry, where divine resources meet human needs through loving channels. We are dedicated to engaging in nonprofit residential and community real estate programs that uplift and support low and moderate-income individuals.

Our vision is to develop a well-connected, equitable neighborhood anchored by the major transit corridors of Grand River and Livernois. Through our Strategic Development Plan, we aim to build on the area's rich history and strengths by repurposing vacant buildings and lots, and optimizing existing spaces, organizations, and projects. This effort is designed to foster a sense of ownership, pride, and community spirit.

We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive Executive Director to lead Renaissance of Hope with visionary leadership, strategic direction, and effective management. This role is crucial for advancing our mission of community development and helping to build health and wealth for residents in the community. As the Executive Director, you will oversee all aspects of our operations, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive the implementation of the neighborhood's Strategic Development Plan. You will also help to cultivate a strong team of mission-driven professionals and continually promote an inclusive and collaborative work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategic direction for Renaissance of Hope, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Operational Management:

  • Manage daily operations, including program oversight, budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and funding requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, government agencies, donors, and other key stakeholders to support partnerships and collaborations.
  • Represent Renaissance of Hope at public forums, community events, and within professional networks to advance the organization's mission and initiatives.
  • Advocate for the community's needs and garner support for the organization's goals.

Resource Development and Fundraising:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial resources for programs and initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential donors, grant-making organizations, and corporate sponsors to enhance fundraising opportunities.
  • Prepare grant proposals, manage grant reporting, and ensure adherence to grant requirements.

Team Leadership and Development:

Provide strong leadership and management to staff and volunteers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
