Our client, a leading plastics manufacturer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the functionality and safety of the plant's electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment as scheduled, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of injection presses and cementing/coating equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in electrical systems up to 480VAC, including planning and executing installations.
  • Address PLC and control system issues effectively using schematics and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with electricians and contractors to maintain the plant's electrical infrastructure per NEC standards.
  • Develop and manage the site's electrical safety program, including training for arc flash safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in the CMMS.
  • Adhere to and promote the company's health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Regularly engage in housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Master Electrician license.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS for data entry and navigation.

Required Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in basic math for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical installations, wire sizing, conduit sizing, and electrical load calculations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a systematic approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Certifications:

  • Fork truck (Hilo) operator's license.
  • Scissor lift operator's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities including bending, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and frequent use of hands in various capacities.
  • Regular requirements to sit, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
