Are you looking for an opportunity that allows you to use your troubleshooting skills and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment? This opportunity may be what you are looking for! Butterball Farms, Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:

  • Maintain/repair mechanical and electrical equipment for the processing and production of butter and other food products
  • Identify required parts and maintain current inventories, and parts reorder lists
  • Maintain refrigeration equipment for the storage of food products
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Fabricate equipment to food-grade standards for production and prototype purposes
  • Set up equipment and educate production staff on how to effectively run the equipment
  • Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events
  • Propose and implement changes to improve the process, machine, or equipment efficiency
  • Contribute to our culture of safety

Requirements

We believe a Maintenance Mechanic will be set up for success if they are able to prioritize and have strong troubleshooting skills. We also see them possessing the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2-4 years steady experience in Maintenance and Electrical- required
  • GMP for Food Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Welding of Aluminum and Stainless-Steel experience -preferred
  • Electrical, Refrigeration and PLC, Servo and Communication knowledge - preferred
  • Experience with Redzone -preferred
  • Ability to stay organized and able to maintain good housekeeping practices - required
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills - required
  • Basic Windows Program Knowledge: Outlook, Word, Excel - preferred
  • Ability to frequently climb, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50+ pounds. -required
  • Successful completion of background and drug screen - required
