Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Operations Excellence (OE) Manager develops and implements continuous improvement initiatives within their local manufacturing plant to drive improved operational performance. This position works to achieve a sustainable continuous improvement culture at the plant. The Manufacturing OE Manager works closely with the leaders within the manufacturing plant as well as cross-functional partners.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Develop OE tools and platforms to drive transformation across the plant

  • Create detailed data analytics utilizing process information and financial reports to assess manufacturing activities and identify improvement opportunities

  • Provide expertise, leadership, and training on TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured continuous improvement techniques to all employees within the plant

  • Utilize a hands-on approach in working with the front-line team members to promote and deploy sustainable continuous improvement activities

  • Provide project management leadership to implement pilots and the ongoing rollout of new continuous improvement plans

  • Collaborate with and influence all functional areas to ensure the continuous improvement strategy is understood and is sufficiently supported by the appropriate stakeholders

  • Execute the implementation of standard processes for the manufacturing plant

  • Collaborate on improvement of performance in key business metrics

  • Provide change management leadership to ensure the manufacturing plant achieves and sustains targeted performance levels

  • Lead the culture change needed to support/sustain continuous improvement activities

  • Share best practices including process improvements with other manufacturing plants to assist them in developing their own capabilities

  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 6 plus years of experience in operations/supply chain roles in a large consumer goods organization or HS Diploma/GED, 9 plus years of experience in operations/supply chain roles in a large consumer goods organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong change management and influencing skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft office i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Travel up to 20%

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field

  • Master’s degree

  • Manufacturing/Beverage experience

  • Experience applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing / distribution environment.

  • Six Sigma Certified as Green Belt, Black Belt and/or Master Black Belt

  • Experience leading implementation of Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) and Lean methodologies

  • Experience with project management leading tools and/or process implementation across a supply chain organization

  • GMP/HACCP experience
