Corewell Health Radiant Principal Training Specialist Senior in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary

Analyzes customer training needs, develops and organizes the training service, and provides training on assigned applications. Masters assigned applications and related work flows to develop audience-specific training infrastructure (including traditional and computer-based curriculum materials); organizes the registration and certification processes; and conducts classroom and one-on-one training. Works closely with project leadership and key customer leaders, to ensure that the training program is appropriately structured to satisfy a broad range of training audience requirements, including physicians. Regularly provides guidance, to less experienced Health Systems Trainers and Specialists.

Essential Functions

  • Assigned special projects where responsibilities include leading, developing, and the delivery of health systems training initiatives to a defined group of users.

  • Oversees a training program delivery strategy; leads the building, testing and maintenance of a capable training environment; designs, writes, edits, assembles and distributes course materials; conducts user and “train the trainer” educational sessions; and assists users with operational change management.

  • Leads the testing and modification of the training materials, and ensures the communication of relevant changes to users by participating in the design, writing, editing, assembly and distribution of updated course materials.

  • Develops training process leadership and quality improvement activities, and acts as a liaison between the customers and the Informatics team to enhance training processes.

  • Meets financial objectives by developing cost-effective educational programs, and creating and implementing training effectiveness evaluation tools.

  • Encourages critical thinking and professional/personal growth, providing mentoring to less experienced Health Training Specialists.

  • Understands both the current and future states of the educational process, and are able to define and articulate pros, cons and recommendations to senior leadership. Forward-thinking; providing leadership for health systems training approach and delivery.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree

  • 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Radiology and/or understands Radiology careflow

  • CRT - Epic Radiant within 180 days of hire

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience analyzing customer training needs, developing and organizing the training service, and providing training

  • Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
