Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

This is a first shift position, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves unloading trucks with a stand-up hi-lo and loading trucks for shipment. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for scanning products into the facility, stocking shelves, and filling racks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient handling of products, which are often heavy and expensive.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks using a stand-up hi-lo and load trucks for shipment.

• Scan products into the facility and stock shelves and fill racks.

• Handle products shipped in corrugated boxes and transfer them to special metal racks using a stand-up hi-lo.

• Perform manual inventory control, including taking down product numbers and SKUs.

• Relay product information to inside sales representatives for proper billing.

• Complete all shipping area tasks using paperwork.

• Ensure timely unloading of trucks to avoid additional charges.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of stand-up hi-lo experience.

• 6 months of shipping and receiving experience.

• 6 months of warehouse experience.

• Experience with manual inventory control.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
