This Support Professional for the Early Childhood Learning Lab provides vital support to the Director of the Early Childhood Learning Laboratory (ECLL) by providing excellent service to students, families, faculty, staff, Education Department and community partners. This person must be engaging with a variety of stakeholders who visit our center with a strong attention to detail while possessing an understanding of GRCC policies, processes and practices. They will have strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, to work independently and provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide high-level support for administrative and instructional activities for the Director of ECLL and ECLL Instructors as appropriate, always utilizing excellent judgment and maintaining highest levels of confidentiality and ethical standards • Present a positive and professional image and act as an excellent goodwill ambassador for the ECLL and the College while greeting and directing parents, students, instructors, staff and visitors. Assisting with questions and concerns as needed • Support Director utilizing excellent judgment at all times and checking for approvals as necessary • Ensure families and visitors are immediately welcomed and supported during building hours of operation • Prioritize work effectively to ensure that tasks are completed within assigned deadlines • Maintain accurate records, files and office activities in strict confidence • Provide initial data set-up for assessment system and attendance tracking system • Help maintain and update children's schedules • Monitor the entrance of the building, checking family identification as necessary • Process all incoming and outgoing surface mail and e-mail • Maintain a variety of accurate electronic and paper files as requested • Assist in submitting documentation for procurement reports to appropriate system • Help reconcile comparison sheets for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) • Maintain the ECLL library inventory and the lending library inventory, keeping accurate records of items checked out • Create front lobby displays that are calming, welcoming and inclusive • Assist with sending newsletters to families and staff, keeping an accurate list of current stakeholder emails • Maintain an accurate inventory of lobby supplies • Restock and maintain inventory of office, kitchen and food supplies • Create and maintain effective working relationships with all GRCC staff to ensure positive teaming on projects • Attend and help facilitate social/family functions for the center • Maintain professional development, attend outside training to meet requirements for center regulatory practices and grant programs, including various workshops on Child and Adult Care Food Program and Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services systems • Follow ECLL closing procedures, communicating with team regularly • Assist with monitoring student employee (s) • Assist in preparing weekly center menus, update family schedules and maintain child files for licensing regulations • Respond appropriately to
