Talent Development Manager

The Talent Development Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating talent development programs and initiatives to support the growth and development of our employees. This role will collaborate closely with the human resources team, department heads, and key stakeholders to identify development needs and create strategies to address them effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supervision and Leadership:

• Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to the Employee Events and Onboarding Coordinator. • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with employees, supervisors and college leadership. • Collaborate with union leadership to ensure alignment training and development activities outlined in union agreements and College policies.

• Talent Development:

• Provide leadership, direction and oversee the needs of Talent Development, including operational support for training and facilitation; including resource allocation and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning solutions. • Develop and maintain a supervisor onboarding and training curriculum to ensure a consistent experience for employees across departments. • Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance evaluations, feedback sessions, ensuring consistency and compliance. • Manages, facilitates and supports staff development for the College, departmental and individual needs. • Oversight of the learning management system, classroom and group learning opportunities and curriculum offerings review. • Identify and oversee administration of leadership development offerings for developing leaders and supervisors. • Collaborate with Teaching, Learning and Distance Education in data collection and assessment. • Serve as a resource to other departments, managers and employees around proposed and assessed learning needs, especially in relation to performance management and employee needs assessments. • Design, deliver and/or oversee appropriate curriculum. • Performance management, management and supervision skills, effective facilitation and presentation practices, leadership development, teambuilding, soft skills development and technology training. • Oversee the organization and development of multiple delivery methods including training manuals, reference materials, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. • Select and evaluate outside trainers and training vendors to facilitate training for specific topics. • Manage vendor relationships for training and development, including Vector Solutions, LinkedIn Learning, Calm, and ClearCompany, Predictive Index Design as well as any additional vendor relationships developed.

• Engagement: Participate with college wide activities that support our students and employees and with community wide activities that support GRCC's role within the community.

• Lead the annual engagement survey process as well as pulse surveys throughout the year to collect information to drive college initiatives and gain input from employees. • Lead cross college employee input initiatives
