Salvation Army Thrift Store Worker - Third Key in Grand Rapids, Minnesota

Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. At least one year of experience working in a Thrift Store environment. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Possess a positive attitude, works well with others, be trustworthy, especially in confidential matters. Ability to accept supervision and work with a team of co-workers. Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and complete tasks with a minimum of direction. Computer literate and ability to run cash register. Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver's license, and meet MVR driver qualifications. Willing to support the philosophy, mission, and objectives of The Salvation Army. Position Summary The Thrift Store Worker - Third Key is primarily responsible to work alongside the manager on duty or to open/close the store (key holder) in the absence of store management, to run the cash register, assist customers, and to properly price items when needed and display merchandise throughout the store. This is a regular full-time position. $14.00/hour, 40 hour/week 20734 US-169, Grand Rapids, MN 55744 Essential Duties and Responsibilities This job description is not all inclusive. It is intended to identify the essential duties of the position. Other duties, responsibilities and tasks may be assigned by supervisor. Run the cash register. Clear racks and remove empty hangers. Help maintain neat appearance on sales floor and near the cash register. Assist customers as needed. Greet customers and answer phones in a professional manner. Discard items that are not of showroom quality. Assist in the backroom receiving donations. Process donations unto the sales floor from the backroom. Assist with keeping the store clean. It is understood that it is the job of all store workers to help keep the showroom and backroom clean, neat and safe. As a key holder, open/close the store as needed in the absence of or in assistance of management. Assist with preparing the deposit at the end of the day, when needed. Make deposit at the bank as requested. Provide store supervision to staff and volunteers in the absence of the Assistant Thrift Store Manager and Thrift Store Manager.
