WorkSource Oregon Prevention Manager in GRANTS PASS, Oregon

Position Summary This position will oversee the prevention and outreach programs including HIV testing, Needle Exchange and outreach in Southern Oregon. They will supervise other prevention staff located in the region, including PrEP Coordinators. The manager will also support the programs by assisting in recruiting and placement of local volunteers. In this role they will be responsible for quality assurance and improvement, staff training, and general program oversight. The Prevention Manager must possess a high level of awareness regarding Oregon\'s at-risk groups which include Gay/Bi men and men who have sex with men (MSM), people who inject drugs (PWID), partners of people living with HIV (PLWHA) and the trans community. The Manager is a member of the Program Managers team and will work closely with other team members in reaching out to and engaging the community of gay men and MSM, PWID and partners of PLWHA. This position represents the agency in a variety of community settings including meetings and events. The Manager supervises volunteers and staff, and ensures that they have the tools, training and resources needed to effectively carry out their work. This position is involved in the development of strategic prevention and education initiatives and participates in planning, development, implementation and monitoring of such initiatives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities General duties Advocate for needed services and future direction of these services Provide direct supervision of program staff and role model excellent work ethic and professionalism Stay current on HIV prevention (interventions, stats, etc) Help foster community involvement, support and effective collaboration Participate in agency collaboration, creative processes and lead committees Present to community and partner agencies on HIV and programs Participate on all required agency teams and committees Provide prevention services as needed, including evening and weekend services.
