Legal Operations Manager
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: An hour north of Denver and ideally situated between Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley, JBS is the largest company headquartered in Colorado and one of the largest food companies in the world. We are seeking a Legal Operations Manager to lead operational initiatives, streamline processes, and optimize the efficiency of our high-performing legal team.
As the Legal Operations Manager, you’ll drive operational excellence for a dynamic legal department, overseeing critical functions such as financial management, legal technology, and administration. You’ll work closely with legal department leadership, practice group leaders, company Finance and HR departments, and external vendors to ensure the department operates at peak performance.
What You’ll Do:
Manage the legal department budget, oversee outside counsel billing, matter management, and provide detailed reporting on spend and KPIs.
Develop reporting on performance dashboards and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Help to identify, drive, and track department metrics, benchmarking, and spend analysis for each practice area.
Oversee vendor relationships, data preservation, and reviews.
Evaluate, implement, and manage legal technology, tools, and strategies to improve team efficiency, workflows, and cost reduction.
Partner with attorneys and stakeholders to align operations with team goals.
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client service.
Develop and maintain a knowledge base of legal resources, precedents, and best practices.
Ensure effective training and change management for all programs and system implementations and enhancements.
Liaise between the Legal department and company business units including Finance and HR.
Perform special projects and responsibilities as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Finance or Management a plus.
At least 5 years’ experience in legal operations, legal project management, or a related field.
Proficiency with e-billing systems, matter management, and financial reporting tools preferred.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Problem-solver with a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation.
Comfort with ambiguity and ever-changing circumstances while maintaining the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Experience working independently with limited direction and guidance on familiar tasks, while simultaneously seeking guidance on complex projects with multiple teams/stakeholders.
Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality in handling highly sensitive information.
Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Collaborative and professional, with a service-oriented approach to supporting department needs.

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $120,000 - $130,000;
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
