JOB REQUIREMENTS: Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully. Our Residential Treatment program has a part-time opening, working an average of 10 hours per week for a Math Tutor at our live-in treatment program for youth. The Math Tutor is responsible to meet with clients to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes and help clients solve specific problems; recognize and adjust to the client\'s learning styles and preferences; facilitate a positive classroom environment that is supportive to all clients; complete specialized academic and/or social assessments; and collaborate effectively with team members to increase client\'s academic performance. This position requires the minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 1 semester of tutoring in the area of math. Preferred candidates will have some college courses in education and/or math and have experience providing supervision an mentorship to severely emotionally disturbed adolescents.
