The Tool Crib Attendant reports to the Purchasing Manager of Cleveland Hardware & Forging Co. The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible to inventory, store, distribute and order all items inside their responsibility area. These items can range from hand tools, carbides, maintenance spare parts and housekeeping items. The Tool Crib Attendant is also responsible for putting together operational kits for machine setups and ensuring these are returned when the setup has been completed. Job Duties Coordinate tool sharpening and grinding. Manage and maintain inventory records for all tooling and spare parts. Issue tools and supplies from the tool crib. Set and maintain jigs and fixtures for optimal functionality. Prepare fixtures and jigs for use in the machine shop. Report tooling problems promptly to the Machine Shop and Die Room Supervisor. Set tooling and tool holders as needed. Record all tool crib movements, including distribution of parts being handed out, to receiving new parts in, and inventory adjustments for added or deleted inventory items. Periodically review and adjust minimum and maximum quantities in collaboration with department managers. Place orders for materials and supplies when minimum inventory levels are reached. Provide a monthly expense report for expenses incurred in this area to the Purchasing Manager for accounting purposes. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Who are we?
