Robert Half Accounting Manager in Green Cove Springs, Florida

Description We are in search of a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Focused on the manufacturing industry, this role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Manager, you will be expected to handle both day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end close duties, as well as assist with special year-end projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general ledger activities

• Handle accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Perform month-end close activities and prepare accurate financial reports

• Participate in special year-end projects, providing necessary accounting support

• Utilize Infor Visual ERP system for various accounting tasks

• Monitor and reconcile all financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

• Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

• Collaborate with financial team and other departments to streamline accounting processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated experience with Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities

• Familiarity with Infor Visual ERP software

• Ability to manage General Ledger effectively

• Proven skills in Financial Reporting

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or similar are preferred

• Previous experience in a managerial role within the accounting department is desirable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting

• Strong ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings.
