West Virginia Employer Automotive Body Technician in Greencastle, Pennsylvania
Key Responsibilities Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans based on manufacturer guidelines. Perform various body repair tasks such as dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening. Prepare surfaces for painting, apply primers, and use advanced refinishing techniques to achieve accurate color matching and textures. Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components as required for repair, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Inspect completed repairs to verify they meet quality standards and specifications, promptly addressing any deficiencies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs, including parts used and labor hours. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures, including handling hazardous materials and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Complete other duties as assigned by management. Skills & Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proven experience as an automotive body technician, demonstrating proficiency in body repair techniques and refinishing. Strong knowledge of tools and equipment used in automotive body repair, such as welders, sanders, and spray guns. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to accurately assess vehicle damage. Effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to automotive repair. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
