About our team:

We are the electrical systems and electronic development engineering group at The Raymond Corporation. We support various projects from full industrial vehicle design and commercialization to layout and integration of PCA and custom designs.

About the position:

We’re looking for an Electrical Systems Test Engineer to design, develop engineering and production test systems for electronic components, assemblies, or circuits for use within our products. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform assignments. This role will by employed by The Raymond Corporation and work out of our headquarters in Greene, NY. Some traveling may be needed for the job. In this role, you will:

  • Lead test system development and component selection for engineering design verification and production testing.
  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases based on specifications from the development team.
  • Work with the software development engineers to define and develop test kernels for embedded computer-based assemblies.
  • Coordinate lab testing and production release of new electronic components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to document, develop and commission production test systems.
  • Design and execute engineering validation test plans for new components, sub-system, and system designs.
  • Provide support for new product development teams.
  • Review designs for compliance to relevant industry standards.
  • Work with cross-functional groups at the direction of a Lead Engineer or Program Manager.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and able to present technical material to a technically diverse audience.
  • Proficient in windows-based computers and software such Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

It would be great if you had:

  • 6 months or more applicable experience.
  • Experience in test software development with NI LabVIEW.
  • Experience with:

  • Variety of electronic test equipment.

  • Reading government and industry standards.
  • Reading and writing PLC structured Text and C/C++
  • Ethernet and CAN network design and theory.
  • Mechanical design and fabrication skills.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $75,000 - $96,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
