About the position: We’re looking for a Materials Planning Project Manager to work within Raymond’s internal organization and New Product Development (NPD) process, providing supply chain planning support to help ensure projects launch on time and are integrated seamlessly into our production and planning processes. The Materials Planning Project Manager is a recognized expert in Raymond’s processes and procedures and is a key player in our team’s organizational goals and vision. You will:
- Work with Engineering and Program Management to analyze and develop parts release plans that achieve optimal project timeline compression while enabling clear visibility of progress to plan.
- Initiate long lead time part independent demand. Ensure parts availability to support mass production startup. Manage production ramp up/ramp down parts planning to ensure a clean transition between targeted start-up planning and traditional sales and operations planning and master scheduling planning bill-driven forecasting.
- Represent the interests of Materials and Operations on assigned project teams. Coordinate supply chain NPD response, prioritizing/expediting engineering change requests, verifying system take-order readiness, and providing aftermarket planning support for stocked parts.
- Participate in NPD phase review meetings, reporting on engineering change status, and identifying significant supply chain and operational risks to project timeline.
- Set project go/no go points based on supply chain exposure and ensure they are clearly communicated and understood by the rest of the business. Weigh in on go/no go decisions with objective articulation of potential risk.
- Plan prototype and preproduction builds ensuring part availability, determining build timing and requirements, and ultimately dispositioning project units.
- Develop project obsolescence plans and ensure system coding identifying phase out parts.
- Act as a high-level supply chain subject matter expert, analyzing and triaging difficult situations, exploring alternative solutions, and mitigating risk.
Lend support to critical changes and aftermarket campaigns that are not NPD, but which require special analyzing and planning. This may include end of life part planning and/or participation in Corporate Product Health Teams.
About you:
A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Six or more years of project management experience is required.
- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.

- High level attention to detail.
About the work schedule: This position reports on-site in Greene, NY. After completion of training period, may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $74,580 - $95,621 per year, depending on qualifications of selected candidate.
